Friends and neighbours, the Inglewood Community League of Edmonton is facing one of the greatest challenges in its history.
We have suffered the loss of nearly $300,000—money that belonged to our community and was intended to support the programs, services, and facilities that so many people rely on. The financial impact has been devastating, and we are now fighting to recover these funds through a civil legal action.
While we are pursuing every available legal avenue, justice comes at a significant cost. Legal fees continue to mount, placing an enormous strain on our already limited resources. Without additional financial support, our ability to continue this fight is at risk.
We are asking for your help.
We have started a GoFundMe page to receive donations toward our legal fees. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward funding the legal costs associated with recovering the missing funds.
Our goal is simple: to hold those responsible accountable and to restore money that belongs to our community.
But this is about more than recovering a financial loss. It’s about protecting the future of our community, demonstrating that misconduct has consequences, and ensuring that community resources are preserved for the people they were intended to serve.
We understand that times are difficult for many families, and we are deeply grateful for any support you can provide. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks is another meaningful way to help.
Your generosity will help us continue this fight and give our community the opportunity to recover what was lost.
Thank you for standing with us.
