Members and residents are invited to a Special General Meeting of the Inglewood Community League at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. The meeting takes place at the community league hall at 12525 116 Ave NW. The doors will be opened at 12:30.
Why we’re calling this meeting
Last month, we shared the difficult news of our significant financial losses. Since then, the board has been working behind the scenes with a lawyer, a forensic auditor, and the police. Now it’s time to talk with you directly.
What we’ll cover
- A clear account of the loss and how it was discovered
- The steps the board has taken since the discovery
- Where things stand with the civil lawsuit and the police investigation
Protocol
- The meeting is open to all Inglewood residents but only league members can speak, ask questions and vote. Non-members are observers only. (Get your membership here)
- You will be asked to sign in at the door, with your name, email, address, and phone number. If you are member, bring your membership card or have your identification ready.
- Speakers must state their name before they speak. There is a time limit of 3 minutes for each league member. No one can speak again until everyone else has had an opportunity to ask their question.
- Recordings will not be permitted.
It’s in everyone’s interest to keep an orderly meeting. Let’s remember we are all neighbours here. Please keep all comments and questions neighbourly.
