Summer Starts at EPL: Saturday, June 22 to Saturday August 24, 2019
Read, create and explore all Summer with Summer Starts at EPL! Sign up for our summer reading and activity challenge and attend our free classes and events.
Kids will enjoy a summer of reading as well as free classes featuring magicians, zoo animals, puppetry, science, art and Makerspace. Everyone is invited to our official Opening of Summer Starts at EPL event on Saturday, June 22. Come in and register then or any time after… The more you read, the more chances you have to win an exciting grand prize! We are also hosting weekly games and prize draws as well as daytime and weekend classes for ages preschool to 12.
Why should kids get to have all the fun? Summer Reads is the summer reading club for adults and teens! Those over 12 can log their Reads over the summer and participate in community-based activities to earn rewards and enter to win a grand prize.
The Inglewood Neighbourhood Table is a safe and fun place for everyone. Come and get a nutritious community meal. There are recreational and learning opportunities for your children and healthy living information and resources for adults.
The dinners take place at the Inglewood Community Hall, 12525 116 Ave. and run from 5:00 – 8:00 on selected Mondays. Dinner is only served until 6:30.
Want to meet your neighbours in person, and not just over your fence? Come to the Great Inglewood Pocket Park Potluck Picnic at Inglewood’s most charming pocket park at 124 Street and 112 Avenue on Friday May 31 from 6 to 8 PM! It will be a pretty casual event. Bring what you would like to share like dinner, drinks, or snacks. Bring lawn chairs, music, sidewalk chalk, games, and anything to make it a fun night! This is a kid-friendly event. We’re bringing tempera paint where you can get creative and help create a giant community mosaic on the old bus loop. See you there!
Walk, jog or run in our fourth annual Great Neighbour Race to support local volunteerism and the community league movement in Edmonton! Join community members for a 10k, 5k, 3k and 1k Kids run with food and activities after the race!
